Barcelona v Villarreal: Three things to look out for this weekend

Will Neymar be the key man again on Saturday?

Can Neymar continue superb record against Villarreal?

Neymar hasn’t scored for Barcelona since the 4-1 win over Granada back in April but will surely be licking his lips at facing Villarreal, a side he seems to thrive against.

The Brazilian has eight goals in eight game against the Yellow Submarine including that stunner in 2015 when he flicked the ball over his shoulder before volleying home.

Fran Escriba’s side have been brilliant defensively this season, having conceded just 28 goals in 35 games, and it might need another moment of magic on Saturday to snatch victory.

Beware Bakambu! Villarreal star in red-hot form

Villarreal come into the game having won their last three games in a row, including a 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid at the Vicente Calderon.

One man who has been key to their recent form is Cedric Bakambu who has six goals and an assist in his last five Villarreal games.

The 26-year-old has scored braces in two of his last three games, against Sporting and Leganes, and also set up Roberto Soriano for the winner against Atletico.

Yet another MSN landmark in sight on Saturday

Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar head into the game at Camp Nou having scored 98 goals between them this season and just two goals away from making it a century.

Messi leads the way with 49, Suarez has 34 and Neymar has weighed in with 15 goals in all competitions for Barcelona although he also has an impressive 19 assists.

Should the MSN score twice on Saturday it will be the third season in a row they have reached triple figures, having scored 122 goals in 2014-15, and 131 in 2015/16.
