Luis Enrique has confirmed that Aleix Vidal could possibly make a dramatic return for Barcelona in Saturday’s Copa del Rey final.
The defender suffered an awful ankle injury against Alaves back in February that was expected to rule him out for the rest of season.
However, incredibly Vidal has not just made it back into training, he could even feature on Saturday, although it still seems a little unlikely.
“We have lots of options and they are all good as we have quality players in all the positions," Luis Enrique told a pre-match press conference.
"We could also have Aleix Vidal, who is already training and, if the doctors decide he is fit, may be an option."
It would be a lot to ask Vidal to start a game, particularly a final, after so long out of action but it’s great to have him back after such a serious-looking injury.
