That's the way Lucho likes it!
The miracle didn't come, but Barcelona finished the La Liga season with a 4-2 comeback win over Eibar at Camp Nou. In Luis Enrique's last game in charge, the team was frustrated for most of the match but fought hard to climb their way back and get the three points. Real Madrid are champions, but Barça never gave up.
Just like Luis Enrique wanted it.
FIRST HALF
The first few minutes were terrible as Cristiano Ronaldo scored for Madrid and Inui scored a very good volley and put the visitors ahead, which was not expected. Barça had to chase a result now, and the whole stadium already knew the score over at Málaga, but the Blaugrana still wanted to win and went forward looking for the goals.
It was a frustrating first half as the Catalans created chance after chance, only to see goalkeeper saves and poor finishing keep Barça from scoring.
At halftime, a one-goal deficit, sadness and frustration.
SECOND HALF
The frustration continued as Karim Benzema doubled Madrid's lead in Málaga and Barça continued to miss unbelievable chances in front of goal. Things went from horrible to inexplicable when Inui scored another sensational volley to double Eibar's lead and confirm Madrid's title.
Eibar full-back Juncà scored a hilarious own goal to give Barça hope of a comeback, and then Lionel Messi missed a penalty to make sure the comeback would not happen. But Luis Suárez didn't give up and scored the equalizer, so there was still a chance that Barça would finish the season with a victory.
Right after Suárez scored, Neymar won a penalty and forced a red card out of Ángel Capa, and Messi buried the spot kick to put the Blaugrana ahead. With ten men on the pitch Eibar couldn't bring any danger, and Barça confirmed the victory with a spectacular solo goal from Messi to finish the season as the top scorer in the league.
