Real Madrid’s Dani Carvajal Attacks Barcelona’s Gerard Pique in Chant

Packing an expletive...

During Real Madrid’s La Liga title celebrations, Dani Carvajal launched an offensive chant at Gerard Pique. This chant is one usually launched by Barcelona fans towards Real Madrid, but it was unusual to see a player use it against another player, particularly a teammate in their national team.

Pique, cabrón, saluda al campeón” he said, which roughly translates to “Pique, a**hole, say hello to the champion.”

To be fair, Pique invites this sort of controversy for his outspoken nature. He famously thanked singer Kevin Roldan when Barcelona won La Liga in 2015, after Cristiano Ronaldo was criticized for staging an elaborate birthday party featuring Roldan after a 4-0 loss to Atletico Madrid.

If it’s all in good fun, then, someone should tell Sergio Ramos, who back then said: "when I win, I don't think about anyone one else who isn't on my team."

In fact, Ramos criticized Pique for overstepping his bounds due to his comment, which was just “it all started with you, Kevin Roldan.”

Ramos then fumed: "Pique’s latest actions don't help our national team, but we aren't surprised to hear something like this coming from him. We have to think of the team. We should not create controversies that damage the team."

Will he hold Carvajal to the same standard, especially since his comments were worse?
