Las Palmas vs. Barcelona, La Liga 2017: Final Score 1-4, Barça cruise to vital away victory

HUGE WIN!

Barcelona are still alive in the race for the La Liga title thanks to a big 4-1 away win against Las Palmas. The Blaugrana had a few tough moments in the game, but scored good goals in key moments and eventually cruised to a key victory that featured a special Neymar scoring a hat-trick and keeping the Catalans close to Real Madrid.

FIRST HALF

The start was tough for Barça, who had trouble getting into a rhythm offensively and struggled to find spaces inside the Las Palmas defense. The Blaugrana also saw the hosts get a few dangerous counter-attacking runs, and it looked like we were in for a frustrating afternoon. But the genius of Sergio Busquets and the incredible passing of Andrés Iniesta put Luis Suárez alone in front of goal, and the Uruguayan wasn't selfish and gave the opening goal to Neymar.

Just two minutes later, Ney returned the favor with a wonderful through ball to Suárez, who chipped the goalkeeper for the second goal.

At halftime, a very tough game for Barça became quite comfortable and a two-goal lead seemed enough to secure the victory.

SECOND HALF

Las Palmas didn't give up and went forward in the second half looking for a goal. Barça had good chances on the counter but couldn't score the third to kill off the game, and they paid for it when Pedro Bigas scored a nice goal to put the hosts back in the match.

Just five minutes after conceding, Barça went back in front by two goals when a beautiful cross from Rakitic met the head of Neymar, who doubled the visitors' lead. The Brazilian could not be stopped on the afternoon and completed his hat-trick with a subtle touch under the keeper after a nice pass from Jordi Alba.

Barça simply ran out the clock in the final minutes and confirmed a key victory on the road.
