Rumors: Alonso tops wanted list, Dembele wants Barcelona, Juve eye Rafinha & more

The latest transfer tales featuring stars from Chelsea, Dortmund and Atletico Madrid

Barca make Marcos Alonso top priority

Marcos Alonso may currently be basking in the glory of Chelsea’s Premier League triumph but he could soon be heading to Camp Nou, if Barcelona get their way.

Mundo Deportivo report the wing-back, who has enjoyed a stellar season at Stamford Bridge, has emerged as Barca’s top target this summer.

The club view him as the ‘new Eric Abidal’ and while Alonso could boost his international chanes at Barca, the Blaugrana are well aware they face a tough test prising him away from Antonio Conte’s champions.

Dembele makes Barcelona u-turn

One man who does want to come to Camp Nou is Ousmane Dembele, despite the fact he turned down the club last season, according to AS.

However, Dembele has told his agent to keep in touch with Barca particularly as there is some uncertainty over the future of Thomas Tuchel at Borussia Dortmund.

Barca have been impressed with Dembele’s progress this season but might not be quite as enamoured with his price tag which is believed to have tripled since his move to the Bundesliga.

Juve to move for Rafinha?

Another day, another Rafinha rumour despite his father insisting recently the Brazilian wants to stay and see out his contract.

Juventus were clearly not listening to that though, with Mundo Deportivo claiming they are considering Rafinha for next season.

Guiseppe Marotta reportedly values the Brazilian’s versatility and experience and feels he could be tempted away this summer.

Barcelona to battle Bayern for Juanfran

The latest right-back to be linked with a move to Barcelona is none other than Juanfran, with Marca claiming he is wanted by both the Catalans and Bayern Munich.

The defender has just over a year left on his current deal but is yet to extend and although he turned 32 in January, could be an option for the two sides who both need to strengthen in that area.

Valverde giving nothing away

Ernesto Valverde has already been chosen as the next Barcelona boss, according to some folks but the Athletic Bilbao coach is having none of it, for the time being at least.

Athletic take on Leganes this weekend in their final Liga home game of the season but Valverde refused to confirm if it would be his last game at San Mames.

"I don't know if it's my goodbye," he said via Sport.

"I don't know. I'm not saying anything is closed off."

It probably is though, isn’t it?
