TV3: Lionel Messi Wants to Play the Barcelona-Alavés Match

The Argentine star feels fine.

Lionel Messi's injury prevented him from playing against Venezuela, but the Argentine star feels he is up for it for Barcelona's next match against Deportivo Alavés, according to TV3, a local channel.

Messi posted on Facebook that there was nothing to worry about after missing his last match for the national team. Before that, he had felt pain in the last Barcelona match, but played through it and scored the winning goal for Argentina in their victory against Uruguay.

The club reportedly wants Messi to take it easy and rest, or at least start on the bench. Previously, we told you Paco Alcácer might make his debut in place of Messi.

Luis Suárez is sure to start, but Neymar is also a question besides Messi. We could see Arda Turan besides Alcácer in that game... maybe even Aleix Vidal? What surprise will Luis Enrique spring? We shall see.
