La Liga News: 24 September 2016: Boateng To Miss Real Clash, Navas Back For Madrid

Keylor Navas will finally make his return from injury for Real Madrid, joining the squad for the first time this season for the trip to Las Palmas. Zidane revealed as much in his press conference. "Keylor will be in the squad, he's going to travel with us. Fábio Coentrao is back training normally and he could be on the list. He's ok, but perhaps he'll be a bit off the pace, which is normal after five or six months.
Midfielder Joaquin Sanchez headed in the only goal to give Real Betis a 1-0 win over Malaga in a heated Spanish league match on Friday. A total of 10 yellow cards were shown at the Benito Villamarin Stadium in Seville, six to Malaga players and four to the hosts. Sanchez, who left the field because of a deep cut on his forehead after a collision with an opponent, headed home from near the penalty spot midway through the first half.
Just when Real Madrid seemed to be cruising in the first two months of the season, two injuries to key players have brought back the daunting memories of past seasons. Casemiro is out for at least one month with a broken fibula, which leaves Zinedine Zidane without pure defensive midfielders. That means Toni Kroos, in great shape but hardly a ball recovery hound, will have to step in.
Karim Benzema is utilising an electro-stimulation suit to speed up his recovery as he looks to stay sharp during Real Madrid's gruelling run of fixtures. Having sat out two games with a groin issue earlier this month, Benzema returned for Real on September 10. Since then French star has featured in four games and faces another three before October 2.
Suspended Ghana international Kevin-Prince Boateng will miss Las Palmas' all-important clash with Real Madrid in the Spanish La Liga on Saturday through suspension. The 29-year-old midfielder was shown a straight red card while in action for Los Amarillos against Real Sociedad on Wednesday.
"There's so many new players, we don't know one another very well," said Nani. Nani, 29, was one of several summer arrivals at Valencia when he joined from Fenerbahce in July. The Euro 2016 winner with Portugal said the players will work hard to turn things around. "We have quality in the team but we haven't been getting the results. Sometimes it seems as though we are going to get the result and then we lose the game."
