The FC Barcelona first team were back at work on Friday morning. Luis Enrique had given them the day off on Thursday after returning from Germany with three more Champions League points in the bag. But with the batteries recharged, it’s now time to switch focus back to La Liga and Sunday’s visit to Celta's Balaídos stadium for what will be the third consecutive road trip and the last fixture before club action takes a week off for the next set of internationals.

Luis Enrique is also connected to the Galician club as he managed them during the 2013/14 season. Although he was only there for a year the team finished an impressive ninth in La Liga. The mid-table finish was particularly welcome having avoided relegation on the last day of the season the year before. During that season, a current member of the squad spent the campaign on loan at Celta.

He was only on for the last half hour of the game in Mönchengladbach, and yet still found time to score his fifth goal in nine games and do more than enough to be named UEFA Man of the Match. With Barça trailing when he came on, the goal was the turning point in a game that the Catalans ended up winning to take outright top spot in Champions League Group C.

The victory at Borussia-Park makes this the best start to a Champions League group stage for Barça under Luis Enrique with two victories in two matches. Last year, the team began with a one-all draw against Roma and a victory over Leverkusen and the year before their second group game ended in defeat to PSG in Paris after beating APOEL in the opening fixture.
