A wrap-up of the latest Barça news
Barcelona had priority to sign Paul Pogba last summer but Juventus did not want to sell the midfielder at the time, claims Barca's sporting relations director Albert Soler. "We reached an agreement with Juventus that we would have priority on any move for Pogba," explained Soler, who had visited Turin last summer in an attempt to complete a deal for the French international.
"It is important to remember that alongside our signings, we renewed his (Neymar's) contract, along with Javier Mascherano and Sergio Busquets. "We feel we have the best squad in the world - one that is capable of both winning titles and exciting our fans.
“I am getting used to it,” Roberto said. “At the beginning it was new for me, but in the end my teammates made everything easier. I am getting used to it and enjoying it. The whole team has started at a great level and, from a personal point of view, I am very happy. The Coach is showing faith in me and this is the path I want to follow.”
Pep Guardiola has described the chance to face Barcelona as Manchester City boss as ‘a gift.’ The two clubs were drawn together in the Champions League Group Stage last week, along with German side Borussia Moenchengladbach and Scottish champions Celtic.
