The European Championships reaches its most exciting time: the quarterfinals. The last eight nations left in Euro 2016 square off over the next four days hoping to find a place in the semifinals. We're going to see four fascinating matchups, with great stories all around, and it should be a super fun weekend of football.
Up first, Poland and Portugal face off at the beautiful Vélodrome in Marseille, and this is a battle of two of the best goalscorers in Europe. Cristiano Ronaldo and Robert Lewandowski have been somewhat quiet so far in the tournament, but two of the best players on the planet can certainly catch fire at any moment, especially in such a big game.
But beyond the superstars on the pitch, we see some good players in both supporting casts. Kuba Blaszczykowski has regained his form as a workhorse on the wings, Arkadiusz Milik is a talented player, and Grzegorz Krychowiak is the brains of the operation for Poland. Portugal also has a talented midfield, with André Gomes, William Carvalho and Ricardo Quaresma capable of effecting the game in their own ways.
This should be a great game, and you're invited to watch and comment with us. Have fun!
