FC Barcelona News: 5 June 2016: Barça In Negotiations With Umtiti, Alves Reveals Why He Left

Samuel Umtiti's proposed move to Barcelona is a long way from completion, according to Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas. Aulas confirmed Barca made an approach for the 22-year-old, who they want to replace the Borussia Dortmund-bound Marc Bartra. He told Eurosport: "Barcelona have approached us about Umtiti about 10 days ago but there are no negotiations taking place yet. Samuel is not on the verge of leaving the club."
"I’m not sure I can say we have finalised the deal, but I am about to finalise it. What is certain is that I will not continue at Barcelona," the right-back told UOL. "I think in life we always have to leave the comfort zone. Barcelona is an amazing club, but it was just too comfortable. I am the kind of person who starts getting things wrong if I’m too comfortable.
