Zubi said no, again.
Despite not being expected to do so, Barcelona was very active during Monday's deadline day for this summer's transfer window. Mostly by saying no to a lot of people.
According to a report from Catalan radio RAC1, Barça sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta and his staff received calls from numerous teams that made offers to have seven different Blaugrana players leaving the club for a season, via loan. Most of the proposals came from La Liga teams.
Always according to the report, Marc Bartra, Sergi Roberto, Sandro, Sergi Samper, Grimaldo, Adama and Patric were all part of the negotiations, but Barça closed the door on all possibilities. That would make the B team too weak, and the first team would lose important young pieces in Bartra and Roberto.
The Blaugrana have already loaned four players this summer: Ibrahim Afellay, Alex Song, Gerard Deulofeu and Cristian Tello. If the report is accurate, that number could have gone up to eleven, but Zubi refused all deadline day offers.
