Jose Mourinho: "Luis Enrique is a fantastic human being"

They love each other. Bromance?

Before he became one of the best -- and most controversial -- coaches in world football, José Mourinho was just an assistant at Barcelona from 1996 to 2000. He was Bobby Robson's disciple, and later he worked with Louis Van Gaal when the Dutchman coached Barça.

In his stint at the Blaugrana club, Mourinho became good friends with current Barça coach Luis Enrique. The two reunited for the first time at the UEFA Coaches Convention in Switzerland, and Mourinho praised Lucho after the meeting.

He also talked about Cesc Fábregas and what he thinks of the former Barça player and how he's doing at Chelsea:

"Luis Enrique is incredible. I haven't met him since I left Barça, it was the first time today. He's a fantastic human being, I have a huge affection for him. I asked him how he feels about coaching, and he told me he's very happy. I'm happy for him as well.

I hope he does great there. I appreciate him a lot, not only as a player when I was there, but especially as a human being. When I was with Robson, he was our favorite player. He could play everywhere: as a winger, a playmaker, a striker, a goalkeeper, everything. Sir Robson also had a huge affection for him. His versatility was amazing.

When I talked to Barcelona and they told me I could sign Cesc [Fábregas] I was really happy. He's also happy to be at the Premier League, and he's happy at Chelsea. There's no pressure, he knows how much I trust him and he knows he is an important player on the team. I'm not surprised with his performance right now. He's well adapted, he's played there before and he feels great."

Cool guy. Until he parks the bus against us.
