The Blaugrana are refusing to take no for an answer
Barcelona CEO Oscar Grau has declared the club are “ready to buy” Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool in January.
It’s well-known the club failed to land the Brazilian over the summer, despite the player submitting a transfer request, with Liverpool refusing to sell.
However, rumors linking Barca with Coutinho have refused to go away and Grau, speaking at a press conference today, has probably fuelled more gossip.
"We are ready to buy Coutinho in the winter market, or any player the technical staff request," he said.
"But it is important to adjust ourselves, so if there are to be arrivals, there must be exits as well.
"We must forget about the price paid for Neymar last summer. After taxes we received about €188m in income and a direct financial impact on the club's treasury of €144m."

Grau’s comments come in the wake of fresh headlines in Spain this morning with Mundo Deportivo reporting Coutinho has agreed a deal with Liverpool, that they will let him go in January.

The report states the Reds will sanction his departure if they receive a reasonable offer, and the suspicion seems to be that €110 million might do the job.
Don’t forget Liverpool turned down some seriously big offers from Barca last summer, if reports are to be believed, and Coutinho will be Champions League cup-tied.
