Cristiano Ronaldo's private plane crashed during a landing at Barcelona's El Prat airport on Monday. No injuries were reported. Ronaldo, who was in Dortmund at the time as Real Madrid were preparing for what resulted in a 2-2 Champions League group stage draw against Borussia Dortmund, was not on the plane at the time of the crash.

Four young LaLiga players have made the 40-player shortlist for the UEFA Golden Boy award for 2016, it has been revealed. Marco Asensio (Real Madrid), Lucas Hernandez (Atletico Madrid), Tonny Sanabria (Real Betis) and Carlos Fernandez (Sevilla) have all made the shortlist for the award, which selects the best under 21 players around Europe annually.
