Here we are. After two grueling weeks of international break and the horrible tragedy in Paris, club football returns to give us a reason to smile again. And what better way to kick off four straight months of games without national team interruptions than with the biggest club clash on Earth? Barcelona makes a trip to the Santiago Bernabéu for a huge encounter with their most hated adversary, Real Madrid.
Every single El Clásico is special in its own right, and something always happens to build up our expectation for what's to come. This time, there couldn't be a bigger story line than Lionel Messi's road to recovery. After injuring his knee nearly two months ago, the Blaugrana superstar has been working as hard as possible to be healthy and fit for this Saturday's biggie, and it looks as though he will be able to play. It's unclear whether or not he'll start or if he'll be on a minutes restriction and saved for the latter, decisive portion of the match. That's up to coach Luis Enrique.
