Spanish League confirms date and time for next El Clásico

We now have an official date and time to play our worst enemies.

The Liga de Fútbol Professional -- LFP, or Spanish League -- has confirmed that the first El Clásico between Barcelona and Real Madrid will be contested at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium on Saturday, November 21st, at 18:15 CET. It will be matchday twelve of La Liga by then, and the winner will certainly improve its chances of winning it all.

A match like El Clásico, considered to be the biggest club match in all of football, doesn't need any additional elements to make it must-watch, but one particular detail turns November's clash into a huge one. Lionel Messi, currently recovering from a knee injury, is expected to be out for a total of eight weeks, and that timetable ends just a few days before the Bernabéu encounter. It's still unclear whether or not he will be medically cleared, but that is his personal and the medical team's goal: get the Blaugrana's biggest superstar ready for one of the year's biggest games.

The two Spanish giants last faced each other at Bernabéu almost exactly one year ago, and that match also had plenty of expectation because of the much anticipated debut of Luis Suárez, who was banned from football and had his punishment end just one day before that El Clásico. In the first ever match featuring the 'MSN' trio, Barça had a flying start with a Neymar Jr. goal just five minutes into the first half, but was then thoroughly dominated by their opponents, who got a comfortable 3-1 victory with goals from Cristiano Ronaldo, Pepe and Karim Benzema.

Now we just need to wait one month to get some revenge.
