In all likelihood, Barcelona will be trailing the league leaders by three points when they kick off in Madrid today against Getafe CF, as Real Madrid are heavy favourites to secure a victory in the day's early kick-off against Las Palmas. As such, the pressure will be on the Blaugrana at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez, a venue at which they drew a blank last season. Following a midweek draw with CF Villanovense, another goalless draw is probably against the odds, but perhaps more probable than one would have otherwise thought.
After all, if we can't beat Villanovense, they why can we be sure that we will beat Getafe?
Of course, it's not as simple as that -- Barcelona will welcome Luis Suarez, Neymar and others back into the starting line-up, the quality of the playing surface will be better and oh yeah, our club captain, Andres Iniesta, is back and ready to inject some life into our midfield. Heck, even Sergi Roberto is back and potentially ready to slot in at right-back ahead of Dani Alves.
This will be a better version of the Blaugrana than we saw in midweek, so let's not worry about things too much. The upcoming UEFA Champions League clash with BATE Borisov shouldn't influence selection, and I've got faith in the likes of Neymar and Suarez to inspire us to victory.
