FC Barcelona has announced the renewal of Jandro Orellana’s contract. The young midfielder will extend his contract for one more year, with the option for two more.
The 21-year-old has risen through the ranks at La Masia and is a Spanish youth international.
He will join up with Barcelona B again starting this Wednesday. He was one of the B team captains last season.
He joined Barcelona’s academy in 2014, after spending time at Espanyol.
Jandro is right-footed and usually plays as a defensive midfielder. He was born in Gavà on August 7th, 2000.
Barcelona B are fresh from a 1-1 draw against Algeciras in the Spanish third tier, Segunda División B. Nils Mortimer scored for the Catalans in the eighth minute. Arnau Comas was sent off in the second half, and then Tomás Sánchez scored the equalizer in the 74th minute.
The B team will play against fellow Catalans, Gimnàstic de Tarragona, next.
