The Barcelona presidential candidate had a different way to answer the question
Victor Font, one of the leading candidates to become Barcelona’s newest president, has weighed in on which superstar he’d rather sign: Erling Braut Håland or Kylian Mbappé?
Font responded to the question by pivoting to an area of the club’s structure he thinks has been incorrectly formatted for a while.

“One of the biggest changes is that the sporting decisions will be in the hands of the sporting structure. I’m delighted by both players. But the economic situation is critical, and we won’t be able to make huge signings,” he said.
Font is seeking to win the post previously occupied by Josep Maria Bartomeu. After the latter’s resignation, Carles Tusquets has ascended as interim president. However, it is expected new elections will be held in the coming months.
Håland and Mbappé are two of the brightest young stars in world football and both would command a huge salary should they hit the market, as is expected. Håland plays for Borussia Dortmund, a very big club, but it is understood he will be moving on to one of the elite superclubs (in terms of revenue) soon. Meanwhile, Mbappé already plays for one of the richest teams in the world (Paris Saint-Germain) but it is understood he will likely move to a new destination next year, possibly Real Madrid.
Recently, Tusquets had said Barcelona would not make any signings in the winter transfer window unless they sold players first.
