Ronald Koeman has called up 19 players for Tuesday’s trip to Ukraine
The next Barcelona match is upon us! The Blaugrana return to European action as they face Dynamo Kiev in their fourth Champions League group stage game, and Ronald Koeman has called up the following 19 players for Tuesday’s trip to Ukraine:
Goalkeepers: 1. Marc-André ter Stegen, 13. Neto, 26. Iñaki Peña
Defenders: 2. Sergiño Dest, 15. Clément Lenglet, 18. Jordi Alba, 24. Junior Firpo, 28. Óscar Mingueza
Midfielders: 6. Carles Aleñá, 8. Miralem Pjanic, 12. Riqui Puig, 14. Philippe Coutinho, 16. Pedri, 19. Matheus Fernandes
Forwards: 7. Antoine Griezmann, 9. Martin Braithwaite, 11. Ousmane Dembélé, 17. Francisco Trincão, 29. Konrad de la Fuente
The news are very bad for Barcelona right now, with Gerard Piqué (knee), Ansu Fati (knee), Sergio Busquets (knee), Sergi Roberto (thigh), Ronald Araujo (hamstring) and Samuel Umtiti (knee) all missing because of injury. Lionel Messi and Frenkie De Jong have been rested for this one and also don’t make the squad, which gives youngsters like Konrad and Matheus a chance to be in uniform. It’s a very thin squad for this one, with just 16 outfield players available.
Predicted starting XI (4-2-3-1):
Ter Stegen; Dest, Mingueza, Lenglet, Alba; Pjanic, Aleñá; Trincão, Coutinho, Pedri; Griezmann
The match kicks off at 9pm CET/WAT (Barcelona & Nigeria), 8pm GMT (UK), 3pm ET, 12pm PT (USA), 1.30am IST (India, Wednesday), and you can join us to follow and comment all the action.
