The coach was impressed with his youngster
Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman admitted he was impressed with Oscar Mingueza after the youngster made his debut in the 4-0 win over Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League.
Mingueza was handed his first start for the clash with Barca short of defensive options after Gerard Pique joined Ronald Araujo and Samuel Umtiti on the sidelines.
The 21-year-old did a good job too and earned plenty of praise from his manager after the comfortable win in Ukraine.
“I think Mingueza has shown that we can count on him. He has to work hard to have minutes but he has been training with us for five or six weeks now and he had given us a good impression. He has delivered. I liked the team. A good game and we have worked hard, we have pressed ... today’s image is what we want to see.”

It was certainly an encouraging performance from the youngster who could now come into contention to feature against Osasuna on Sunday in La Liga at the Camp Nou. Araujo could be fit by then and Frenkie de Jong may also be an option but Koeman could choose to stick with Mingueza after a strong debut.
