The captain was on target against Osasuna
Lionel Messi scored Barcelona’s fourth goal of the afternoon against Osasuna on Sunday and celebrated by dedicating his strike to Diego Maradona.
The Barcelona captain scored a typically brilliant goal to cap off a fine afternoon’s work for Ronald Koeman’s men at the Camp Nou.
Messi then took off his shirt to reveal a Newell’s Old Boys shirt with a No. 10 on the back in honor of Maradona. The Argentine had a brief spell with Messi’s boyhood club towards the end of his career.

Barcelona also paid tribute to Maradona before kick-off at the Camp Nou. There was a minute’s silence and a Maradona shirt was laid in the center-circle and also in the directors’ box.
Koeman’s men then went on and did their talking on the pitch with a dominant win that also featured some great goals. Martin Braithwaite’s opener was scruffy but Antoine Griezmann scored a superb volley before setting up Philippe Coutinho for Barca’s third.
The last word was fittingly left to captain Messi, who looked pretty emotional during the minute’s silence, but signed off with a classy goal and a moment that will live long in the memory.
