The youngster has offered his thoughts
Francisco Trincao has been asked about Lionel Messi’s future and expects the Barcelona captain to stay at the club.
Messi’s out of contract at the end of the season and speculation over his future has arisen again this week while the captain’s been away on international duty
The Argentine told reporters on Wednesday that he’s “tired of always being the problem” at the club amid criticism from Antoine Griezmann’s former adviser and uncle.
Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola has signed a new contract at Manchester City which has instantly fuelled more rumors Messi could head to the Premier League next summer.
Trincao has now offered a bit of insight into how he sees Messi at Barcelona.
“I see Leo being calm in the dressing room, and he’s always eager to train. I think we’ll continue to enjoy Leo at Barça for a long time.”
The youngster was also asked about coach Ronald Koeman and his playing time at Barcelona. Trincao has yet to make his first start but is hoping for more chances off the bench.
“I think having a little more minutes and, little by little, working, I will have more peace of mind and I will be able to show my quality in the games,” he added.
“He’s [Koeman] a great coach. Age doesn’t matter, just performance and whoever wins it in training plays. Too easy. He says it so that we can do our work without fear and that we enjoy.”

Trincao will be hoping for more game time in the coming weeks. Barca have a packed schedule between now and the end of the year, while Ansu Fati’s injury means there may be more chances for the youngster in attack.
