The two teams meet in La Liga on Sunday
Levante boss Paco Lopez says his team are not afraid of Barcelona ahead of Sunday’s La Liga clash with the champions.
Ernesto Valverde’s side lost their long unbeaten record at Levante last season, going down 5-4 in a thrilling game in May.
Levante head into the game in sixth place in the table and have already picked up some good results this season, notably a 2-1 win over Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Lopez says his team need to be brave against the visitors if they are to take all three points.
“Managing to surprise Barcelona is something very few teams achieve each year and you can count on the fingers of one hand how often it happens.
”It takes a special set of circumstances, like when we against Madrid and you must reach our maximum potential as a team.
”If we can show our identity and implement our plan then we will have a better chance of winning. If we show courage and are daring, we can do well but we aren’t afraid of playing against Barcelona.
”The only thing that we can’t do is show our identity and if we lose that then it is because they have beaten us.”

Barcelona were in great form in La Liga last time out, beating Espanyol 4-0 thanks to a Lionel Messi masterclass. Let’s hope for more of the same on Sunday.
