Thoughts turn to the trip to Getafe
Barcelona returned to training after the winter break on Sunday with the majority of the first-team squad back in action.
Ernesto Valverde’s men were put through their paces in the morning, and they’ll also return later in the day for a second session as they prepare to take on 2019.
Sergi Roberto was back with the squad as was Moussa Wague and youngsters Riqui Puig, Juan Miranda and Chumi. Samuel Umtiti was also back after a spell in Qatar and did “specific work.”

Munir and the club’s South American contingent consisting of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Malcom, Philippe Coutinho, Arturo Vidal and Arthur are not due back until Wednesday.
Barcelona’s first fixture of the New Year is away at Getafe in a week’s time.
The fixtures then come thick and fast with the champions set to face Eibar, Leganes and Girona in La Liga as well as two games against Levante in the Copa del Rey.
