No Barcelona or Real Madrid offers for Theo Hernandez yet, say Atletico Madrid

But the club could be tempted to sell if they receive the right offer...

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo says the club have not received any offers for Theo Hernandez yet, but admits they could be tempted to sell if an interesting offer is received.

The left-back is reportedly a target for both Barcelona and Real Madrid with the latest speculation claiming Atleti would rather sell him to Barca for a cheaper price than allow him to move to their city rivals.

However, Cerezo says so far he has not heard from either club and is keen to keep hold of the 19-year-old.

"Theo is an Atletico Madrid player and until now, as far as I know, nobody has asked us about him," he told El Larguero.

"We cannot talk about hypothetical things. There is a code, with all clubs. When we want a player, we talk to the club first, and then with the player.

“We have no intention to sell any player, but if another club comes with an offer which could be interesting to a player, they should talk to us.

Cerezo also refused to rule out selling the left-back to Real Madrid and claimed players can move to whichever club they want.

"Things happen as they have to happen," he added. "I always say that players will play where they want to play.

“If a player is ready to be transferred, then they can look for whatever club they want. Theo is an Atletico Madrid player.

“If he is not tomorrow then we will find out why. But leave him and Real Madrid alone."

Barca’s reported pursuit of Hernandez certainly raises questions, particularly for Jordi Alba who has recently insisted he wants to stay at the club for a long time despite continued speculation over his future.
