The centre-back has not trained all week and is a doubt
If Luis Enrique did not have a headache before this weekend, he may well have one now with the news that Gerard Pique could miss Sunday’s trip to Las Palmas due to injury
Barcelona are already without Sergi Roberto for the crucial game while Lucas Digne has joined the injured list and Marca now report that Pique is also a doubt.
The centre-back has apparently not trained all week leading Luis Enrique to call up young Marlon Santos from the B team.
There has been no official confirmation from Barcelona about Pique but the news will be of huge concern ahead of the weekend’s clash.
If Pique misses out Barcelona will be really short defensively leaving Enrique with some huge decisions to make both in regards to personnel and formation.
Barca simply cannot afford to slip up if they are to have any chance of pipping Real Madrid to the title although will take some comfort from the fact that Sunday’s opponents have gone five games without a win.
Madrid, meanwhile, take on Sevilla at the Bernabeu with Jorge Sampaoli’s side having already tasted victory over los Blancos this season
