Barcelona rumors: Vitolo in, Vidal out and Madrid to snatch Coutinho?

It’s a packed bag of tasty transfer tales today

Vidal & Arda out this summer

Barcelona must raise €60m this summer and have come up with a cunning plan to achieve this target: sell Aleix Vidal and Arda Turan, according to Sport.

Vidal has failed to convince the club he is the answer at right-back and they are willing to sell for €15m but could drop as low as €10m with Barca determined to buy a new full-back anyway this summer.

Arda, meanwhile, is also on his way out and there is interest from both China and Arsenal. The club hope to sell for at least €30m however, even combined with the €10m for Vidal that still leaves them short of their €60m target?

Real Madrid to enter race for Coutinho?

They couldn’t, could they? Oh yes they could, according to Diario Gol, who claim that Real Madrid could be about to join the race to sign Philippe Coutinho.

Barca have apparently been quoted a whopping €90m for the Liverpool ace which could be something of a problem for the Blaugrana.

Madrid, however, have money to burn with Florentino Perez keeping a close eye on developments and ready to pounce with an open chequebook and the promise of a comfy bench.

Vitolo coming to Barca?

Sevilla winger Vitolo has been fluttering his eyelids at Barcelona and quite fancies himself a move to Camp Nou, so say Mundo Deportivo.

Barca have already made enquiries as to the 27-year-old’s availability while Vitolo says he’s flattered to hear of interest from Luis Enrique’s side.

Vitolo apparently has a €40m release clause in his contract but Manchester City and Atletico Madrid are also known admirers.

Unzue won’t replace Lucho

Juan Carlos Unzue can forget about replacing Luis Enrique as Barcelona boss, say Sport. The coach has clashed with Neymar and Jordi Alba in recent weeks and is rapidly losing the dressing room.

Unzue is also apparently the man behind Barca’s 3-4-3 system which is being partly blamed for the club’s Champions League exit at the hands of Juventus.

If that’s not enough evidence for you, Sport also say Barca wouldn’t be worried about announcing Unzue as Luis Enrique would probably know anyway. Convinced? No, me neither.

Watford want Vermaelen

Thomas Vermaelen (remember him?) could be on his way back to the Premier League with Watford keen on the centre-back, report the Daily Mail.

The Belgian is currently on loan at Roma although the Serie A side are unlikely to make the deal permanent.

Quite amazingly his current deal at Barcelona runs until 2019 but he would be interested in a return to London.
