The defender looks set to come home
Eric Garcia is moving closer to a Barcelona return after reportedly agreeing personal terms on a five-year deal with his former side.
The 19-year-old looks set to return at the end of the season when his Manchester City contract expires, according to Fabrizio Romano.
There’s still a chance Garcia could arrive in January but Barca would have to agree a fee with City and, given the club’s financial situation, it seems more likely the club will wait.
The move isn’t completely a done deal yet either. Barca’s new president will need to sign off on the transfer after being installed at the end of January.
Yet all the signs point to Garcia being a Barcelona player again come the summer. The youngster has turned down the chance of a contract extension at City and seems keen to return.
