A cynical tackle leads to a gruesome injury.
Life! It has a way of being both cruel, yet undeniably beautiful. Sometimes, regardless of the effort you put in, the dedication, the sacrifice, the result is less than what you expected, much less deserved. Of course, as you all deduced by now, I am writing about Aleix Vidal. His has been a long road, and right when it seemed to be nearing its end, an extremely cynical tackle ends his season. Sure, bad luck played a big role in this terrible injury, as it was poor luck for the studs to get caught under the sliding tackle. Nothing good ever happens when studs get stuck in the grass. But when a guy slides in for a two-footed tackle as if he were single-handedly trying to create a hockey-baseball hybrid where you regularly transfer your entire body weight into a dude’s ankle, yeah, you ain’t faultless.
I honestly don’t think he really got the ball, although many say he did, but that does not justify the recklessness. So, I can break every single bone in your body as long as I graze a bit of ball? C’mon son. Força Aleix! Here’s some Whitman for you, bud!

Irish Goat’s Gamboling Goleadores!
1st Goleador: MSN
I will be honest with you folks; my heart is not really in this one. I am still somewhat morose because of that gruesome injury. It is hard to write glowing praise for the goleadores when you see something like that. Some description is necessary, however, so I will say that the three best forwards in the world had an impeccable game. It has been a while since the three constituents of the MSN scored a goal each in the same game.
2nd Goleador: Aleix Vidal
He is not in this list simply as a result of some misplaced sympathy on my part. He played for it, and he deserves it. It is a shame he will miss the rest of the season, as he was just now starting to heat up, playing terrific games every time he went out there.
3rd Goleador: The Press
And I don’t mean the media. It has been a very long time since Barcelona pressed with a purpose and a clear idea of how to do it. They gave the opposing players very little time on the ball before getting it back and attacking time after time.
