An opinion on Barça's loss to PSG and player integration

That scoreline is the brutal truth of a difficult season for the Blaugrana.
A lot has been said about Barça's performance—there are some questioning the coach, while the rest hold the players responsible, for a performance that was a blow to the ego of Culés across the globe.
I am not going to get into that—much has already been said about who was at fault, and who made what mistakes.
No.
That is not why I am writing this.
There are many things that are wrong with the club at the moment; Barça's loss to PSG isn't one of them.
The transfer windows in these past few seasons have been exciting to say the least. Luis Enrique's first transfer window was nearly flawless (the likes of Vermaelen and Douglas were choices made by the board). Every player that Lucho bought, served a purpose. Gaps were filled, youngsters were being integrated, trophies were being won, and all was good in the world.
The most recent window was probably even more exciting, looking at the sheer amount of raw talent that was added to an already peaking squad—Gomes, Umtiti, Digne, Denis and Paco were some of the brightest prospects on the market, and Barça had snatched them up on the cheap.
While the choice of players and their integration has been up for debate since forever, the idea of going trophyless, is probably one that never crossed anyone's mind.
I'm merely asking why.
Why was it automatically assumed that so many young players would integrate flawlessly into a difficult, demanding system? Why was it taken for granted, that all our players would perform at their best, no matter the circumstances? Why was it never taken into account, that we are dealing with real human beings, who have real world problems, just like us?
There are a million things that happen before we see the team play on the pitch. These things are not for us to know or understand, because as fans, we are indifferent to difficult circumstances. We are not concerned, we are not interested—as long as we are entertained, we don't care.
We criticise, comment on, mock and hate those who don't entertain us, never realising that just like us, these players have pressures, targets, and personal expectations & obligations to meet.
Maybe it's me, and I may be in the minority, but I do not care for the trophies. If Barça were to go trophy-less this season (which is looking more likely with each passing day), I would accept the result and move on. And it's not because I do not care for success—I do. I simply choose to believe in the players we have; I choose to believe that once these players have settled and feel at home, the uprise will begin.
Barça may or may not win a trophy this season. But just like success, failure doesn't last forever either. Changes will be made and things will be said, but in the end, Barça will come out stronger than it is today.
The sky hasn't fallen yet.
