Benitez pressure grows as 10-man Real Madrid draw Valencia - ESPN FC
Gary Neville's Valencia twice came from behind to claim a 2-2 draw against 10-man Real Madrid in the Primera Division to turn up the heat on Rafael Benitez. Former Valencia boss Benitez is under considerable pressure at Real and a late equaliser from Paco Alcacer at the Mestalla, moments after Gareth Bale had given the visitors the lead, will have damaged his cause.

Real Madrid give mixed performance vs. Valencia in draw - ESPN FC
Fans of both sides saw positives to take from the game, but the 2-2 result does not really help Madrid keep pace with La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid and Barcelona. Neither does a point against a team who played with 10 men for 22 minutes help Neville's Valencia in their bid to recover from a poor start to the season and climb the table.

Real Madrid’s head of PR Emilio Butragueno has refused to confirm whether Rafa Benitez will survive Tuesday’s board meeting. Benitez’s position remains in the balance following Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Valencia, despite a spirited performance from Madrid and Mateo Kovacic’s red card, and the former Blancos striker did little to appease the speculation.

Rayo Vallecano remain in the relegation zone after twice losing the lead to draw 2-2 at home to Real Sociedad. Diego Llorente gave the hosts an early lead which was cancelled out later in the half by Aritz Elustondo, while Jozabed restored Rayo's advantage shortly after the break, only for Bruma to level for Eusebio Sacristan's side.

Granada 2-1 Sevilla FC - ESPN FC
Granada stunned in-form Sevilla 2-1 to climb out of the Primera Division relegation zone. Goals from Isaac Success and Adalberto Penaranda gave Granada only a fourth league victory of the season and a winning start to 2016 after ending the previous year with back-to-back defeats.

Milan must sell for Banega | Football Italia
Milan will reportedly attempt to sell a number of players in order to fund a January bid for Sevilla’s Ever Banega. The Argentine playmaker has also been linked with Juventus, but Gazzetta dello Sport writes today that vice-President Adriano Galliani’s good relationship with the Spanish club could give the Rossoneri an advantage.

Real Betis 0-4 Eibar - ESPN FC
Eibar moved back up to eighth in the Primera Division after a resounding 4-0 win at Real Betis. Ander Capa's deflected effort within two minutes of kick-off got the Basque side off to a dream start and Keko's volley on 18 minutes consolidated their lead, before Adrian Gonzalez and Borja Baston completed the rout in the second half.

Mel offers Betis resignation | Football Espana
Pepe Mel has offered Real Betis his resignation after admitting "the club have my office at their disposal as of now" in the wake of Sunday’s 4-0 defeat to Eibar. The Andalucians suffered their second, four-goal hammering in as many games, this time on home soil, to leave them without a win in six and just five points clear of the relegation places in La Liga, and the Coach made it clear he would not cling onto his job.

Las Palmas come from behind twice to claim vital point - ESPN FC
Las Palmas twice fought back to earn a 2-2 draw at Athletic Bilbao and gain another point for their Primera Division survival battle. The Basques took the lead through Aritz Aduriz's 16th minute penalty but Las Palmas hit back just after the hour mark through Vicente Gomez, only for Inaki Williams to restore the hosts' advantage. But Tana pounced on a slip by Oscar de Marcos with eight minutes to go to peg them back again.
