The midfielder’s first goal for his new club
Former Barcelona B captain Monchu scored his first goal for Girona on Sunday in a 1-0 win over Real Oviedo.
The 21-year-old, who is on a season-long loan from Barcelona, bundled home from close range for his first goal for Juan Carlos Unzué’s side.

Monchu has featured in all four of Girona’s league games so far in 2020-21 after making the switch from the Camp Nou in order to find regular football.
The team have beaten Sporting Gijon and now Real Oviedo but have suffered defeats to Fuenlabrada and Leganes.
