The forward is not expected to play for Real Madrid until after the November international break
An injury will all but certainly keep Eden Hazard out of El Clásico, and in fact, the forward will not return for Real Madrid until almost a month after, according to Madrid-based media.
The muscular injury was originally thought to be minor but has kept Hazard out since September 30th, meaning the Belgian has yet to feature for Madrid this season. El Clásico is this Saturday.
It was assumed for a while now that it would be difficult for Hazard to be available to face Barcelona, but the injury is now considered serious enough that he is not expected to be back until after the international break next month.
The report says Hazard’s recovery could be sped up, but they are attempting to play it safe in order to return him to maximum fitness. With the international break set to end on November 18, Hazard would be available for the match against Villarreal on the 21st or 22nd of the month.
