The brilliant Brazilian is on the path to greatness
Sevilla coach Jorge Sampaoli believes Neymar is a "worthy successor" to Lionel Messi after watching his simply side blown away by Barcelona at Camp Nou on Wednesday.
Luis Enrique’s side made light work of the visitors who have thrilled La Liga for so long this season with Luis Suarez and Messi grabbing the goals.
While Neymar was not on the scoresheet, Sampaoli was quick to praise him after the game insisting he is the perfect replacement for the Argentine.
"I congratulated Neymar for his game and for the admiration I have for him," he told a post-match press conference.
"He is a worthy successor to Messi and is on the road to big things. I have a good relationship with him."
Neymar has been simply superb this season, enjoying undoubtedly his finest campaign to date at Camp Nou and notching his 100th goal for the club last weekend against Granada.
While the Brazilian has managed only 15 goals so far this season, his brilliance on the ball, trickery and assists mean he has been absolutely instrumental this season - just ask PSG.
The Brazilian was signed as Messi’s eventual heir and this season he has proved that Barcelona need not fear a future without their talismanic Argentine.
