The Welshman has returned. But what does it mean for Barça?
Gareth Bale is one of the best footballers on the planet today, and the Welsh winger has been confirmed in the Clasico squad for Real Madrid by Zinedine Zidane.
The Welshman was out for quite some time with a calf muscle injury, but it seems like his race against time has worked out well so far. Bale has been known to torment Barcelona with his preposterous pace and will surely be a cause for concern, operating from the right flank.
The winger will most likely be up against Jordi Alba and Samuel Umtiti which means that the duo will have their work cut out for them, if they intend to keep Gareth and his blasphemous speed at bay.
While Bale returning is a major boost for Zidane, the real danger to Barça this time around will still come in the form of Cristiano Ronaldo, who has had an immense season so far. The Portuguese returns to La Liga after a hattrick against Bayern Munich and surely his confidence will be through the roof.
Another name that supercedes Gareth Bale in the goal-scoring department is Sergio Ramos. The infamous centreback has built himself a reputation of scoring clutch goals, including the equalising header during Madrid's visit to the Camp Nou earlier this season.
So while Bale returning does impact Barça negatively, Luis Enrique's game-plan should remain unchanged irrespective of the winger's recovery.
In all likeliness, Gareth Bale's inclusion into the Real Madrid starting XI could be a blessing in disguise for the Catalans.
