Luis Enrique implies he lacks confidence in Real Madrid-Malaga match
FC Barcelona has officially denounced the president of Malaga, Abdullah Al Thani, to Spain’s Anti-Violence Committee after the Qatari Sheikh tweeted that “Catalan scum will not smell the league trophy.”
This after Malaga coach Michel had dropped a strange hint about their last match of the season, against Real Madrid. He was reminded he could be in the same situation as Jorge Valdano, another ex Real Madrid player turned coach who twice denied Real Madrid La Liga with a victory for his Tenerife on the last matchday. To this, Michel said, cryptically: “the difference between me and Valdano is that I’m much more of a Madridista.”
Al Thani was asked by a fan on Twitter if Malaga would help deny Madrid the tile, prompting the Malaga president to launch into an attack on Barcelona.
When asked if he had confidence in Malaga, Barça coach Luis Enrique simply said: “If my grandma had wheels, she would be a bicycle.”
Barcelona will also report Al Thani’s comments to to the RFEF's Competition Committee and to the department in charge of maintaining the integrity of La Liga.
Cules worldwide are reporting low confidence in Malaga and suspicion after these comments by Michel and Al Thani.
