Rumor round-up: Cocu, Alba, Sanchez & Hernandez

There’s another new name in the frame for Lucho’s job

Cocu fancies Barcelona job

Phillip Cocu’s name has been added to the ever growing list of potential Luis Enrique replacements after the PSV coach fluttered his eyelids in the direction of his former club.

"It would be fantastic to coach Barcelona," he told Cadena SER.

"You never know. Whoever does take over from Luis Enrique will have a difficult job."

Cocu may well be up for it, but according to Marca, Ernesto Valverde remains the hot favorite, ahead of Juan Carlos Unzue.

Barca beat Madrid to Hernandez

Barcelona have beaten Real Madrid to the signing of Theo Hernandez, so say Onda Cero.

The defender had been on the verge of a move to the Bernabeu but has changed his mind, believing a move to Atletico’s city rivals might be a bad move.

Instead he will head to Camp Nou with Jordi Alba going the other way in a loan deal.

Alba is ‘unsellable’

Actually Alba is going nowhere, say Marca who claim that Barcelona consider him “unsellable”, even if they do want Theo Hernandez.

The full-back has been left on the bench in recent weeks which, unsurprisingly, has sparked huge speculation he will be off in the summer but Marca are having none of it.

Barca eye Ajax defender Davinson Sánchez

Barcelona are set to reignite their interest in Davinson Sánchez after narrowly missing out on the Colombian last summer, according to AS.

With Jeremy Mathieu on his way out of the club, Barca are looking for replacements and see Sanchez as the perfect long-term partner for Samuel Umtiti.
