Looks like Pedro Rodríguez's future is set, with him indeed leaving Barcelona. But before leaving, he has to take care of some business.
According to a report from Spanish newspaper El País, the Blaugrana winger looks set to join Manchester United for a €30 million fee. There were rumors that Barça was only ready to sell if the Red Devils paid his full €150 million buyout clause, but it seems like both teams settled on a reasonable price tag, and the 27-year-old will sign a 4-year contract with the Premier League side.
However, coach Luis Enrique will not let Pedro go before the UEFA Super Cup against Sevilla. The game that puts together the winners of the Champions League and Europa League happens on August 11th, and Pedro will still be fundamental to the squad on that date. Since Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr. join the team just 10 days before the match, only Luis Suárez will be the 'MSN' member fully fit to play at a high level. Which means Pedro is likely to start the game.
According to the report, right after that, the winger will be free to travel to England and join the red side of Manchester.
