The Arabic-speaking media are reporting that Real Madrid have rejected a world-record €120m bid from Paris Saint-Germain for Cristiano Ronaldo. According to the newspaper Rotana, PSG’s owners met Florentino Perez in Doha on Saturday, where they proposed the President the offer, citing that the change of Coach and Gareth Bale’s emergence would have prompted the No 7 into seeking a new challenge.

Maybe the most disappointing thing about the afternoon was an attendance of just 1,652 - then again the La Liga side were hardly going to bring many with them for a friendly were they? Overseas club, for friendlies, don't travel in the numbers us Brits do!

Getafe unveil Bernard Mensah - supersport
Spanish side, Getafe, have unveiled loan signing Bernard Mensah as a squad member for the 2015/16 season. The 20-year-old Ghanaian central midfielder signed for Atletico Madrid from Portuguese side Vitoria Guimaraes for a reported fee of €10 million – a deal which will span for six seasons and has quickly been loaned out to neighbours Getafe where he can gain more games for the coming season.
