This is Paris all over again.
Barcelona will need another miracle at Camp Nou to advance to the UEFA Champions League semi-finals after an ugly 3-0 loss to Juventus in the first leg of the quarter-finals. The Blaugrana were destroyed by a physical and efficient Old Lady, who took a giant step towards a place in the Final Four with a massive home victory and no away goals conceded.
FIRST HALF
The game started with insane pressure from the Old Lady, who went forward to trouble Barça's build-up and recover the ball close to the box. It worked and Paulo Dybala scored after just seven minutes to put Juve ahead. Barça finally found a way to get into the attacking third and Andrés Iniesta missed a golden opportunity in front of goal, and Dybala scored his second on the very next play.
The Blaugrana had the ball for the rest of the half, but couldn't break down Juve's great defense and went into halftime with a two-goal deficit. An away goal was vital in the final period.
SECOND HALF
Barça had a decent start to the second half, passing the ball better and taking more shots at goal. But Giorgio Chiellini scored early in the final period after a corner-kick, and the loss got even worse for the Catalans, who REALLY needed an away goal.
The Blaugrana went forward looking for that all-important score, but it didn't come and we now need a 4-0 second leg win that's a million times harden than the 6-1 against PSG.
