At midday on Friday local time the first team player Rafinha underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee to resolve an injury to the internal meniscus. The operation was carried out by Dr.Ramon Cugat and Dr.Ricard Pruna. The player will be out for around four months.

FC Barcelona have touched down in Málaga for Week 31 of La Liga. Luis Enrique's men left from El Prat airport at 10.40am CET ahead of Saturday night's match and arrived just before midday. A total of 18 players were called for the trip, with Jérémy Mathieu back in the squad, as is young Àlex Carbonell. Vice-president Jordi Mestre and members of the board Jordi Moix, Pau Vilanova and Xavier Vilajoana also joined the trip.
