Is Arda enough to convince Arsenal to give us Bellerín?
Until March of 2017, Barcelona's season has been awfully inconsistent for one simple reason: the lack of a really talented right-back. Sergi Roberto was made the starting player in that position, but failed to replace Dani Alves in an effective way.
It wasn't until Luis Enrique changed to a 3-3-1-3 formation with Roberto alternating between center midfield and right wing that the Blaugrana overcame their full-back troubles and went back to dominating opponents and winning big matches. But there's still the need of a good right-back next season, and Barça have a clear target.
Arsenal's Héctor Bellerín has been made the top priority in the summer transfer window, and according to a report from Mundo Deportivo, the club will go after the Spaniard and are prepared to give up one of their midfield players, Arda Turan, in an attempt to lower Bellerín's transfer fee.
Always according to the report, Arsenal have set Bellerín's price tag at €40 million, but Barça hope to convince the Gunners to sell the player for a €25 million fee plus a permanent transfer of Arda Turan to the London club. Arsenal do like Arda and would consider the offer, but they still might want a higher price to let Bellerín go.
This is likely to be the biggest soap opera of the summer as Barça will attempt to sign one of their Academy products that got away and became a very good player elsewhere.
