And Sergi Roberto has been given the No. 10
The Spain squad for the Nations League Final Four has been full of surprises already and there have been a few more with news that 17-year-old Barcelona midfielder Gavi will wear the No. 9 shirt.
It’s not the only Spain squad number to raise a few eyebrows with Barca team-mate Sergi Roberto set to wear the No. 10. The 29-year-old was only called up to the squad on Sunday after injuries to Pedri and Brais Mendez.
It’s business as usual for the other Barcelona players involved. Captain Sergio Busquets will wear his usual No. 5 and Eric Garcia is Spain’s No. 12.
Here’s the rest of the squad:

Spain play Italy on Wednesday for a place in the Nations League final against Belgium or Italy and Luis Enrique talked up Gavi’s chances of playing the match at a news conference after announcing his squad.
“For me what’s dangerous is taking a risk with kids who you don’t think are good enough, and exposing them,” he said. “I’ve known him for years.
“Seeing how he’s played I don’t have any doubts that he can be a very important player for his club and the national team.
“Is it too early? Yes it could be. But he could start against Italy, depending on what I see in training.
“Age isn’t important, it’s your attitude, and if you adapt to what the coach wants. That’s what I don’t know about Gavi yet.”
If Gavi does feature on Wednesday at the San Siro he will go straight into the history books as the youngest player to feature for Spain. The current record is still held by Angel Zubieta who played at the age of 17 years and 284 days old all the way back in 1936.
