FOURTH FORWARD ALERT, FOURTH FORWARD ALERT
The dream signing of a fourth forward might finally happening at Barcelona.
According to multiple reports in Spain, including from Catalan radio RAC1 and Mundo Deportivo (meaning you can trust these reports), the Catalan giants are in advanced negotiations with Valencia to sign striker Paco Alcácer. The two clubs are discussing a €25 million deal, as well as a season loan of Barça midfielder Sergi Samper to The Bats.
Alcácer has been a Barça target for many years, ever since the forward shined for the U-17 Spanish national team. Paco, as he's most commonly known, is a fast striker who is comfortable with playing on the wings, if needed. He's also a proven goalscorer, and even though his last season wasn't good, he's still young (22) and has a lot to learn and develop.
If a deal for Alcácer is indeed done — could be announced in any moment, apparently — it'd be the third transfer between Barça and Valencia in this window only. The Blaugrana got André Gomes on a €35 million deal, while Martín Montoya joined Valencia from the Catalans on a free transfer.
Excited about Alcácer, Blaugranes?
