FC Barcelona know which three teams they will be playing in the group stage of the 2016/17 Champions League following the draw today at the Fòrum Grimaldi in Monaco. Manchester City, Borussia Mönchengladbach and Glasgow Celtic will join the Catalans in Group C, with the top two teams progressing into the last sixteen, the next stage on the road to the final on June 3 at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff.

It was 11:42am CET on Friday morning when the Barça Anthem blared out from the PA system at Camp Nou. It wasn't, however, in anticipation of a match. Instead, 18 minutes before noon was the exact moment when Jasper Cillessen, FC Barcelona's fifth signing for the 2016/17 season, emerged onto the pitch of his new home, as thousands of fans launched into an enthusiastic cheer from the grandstand, where they had been patiently waiting.

Manager Luis Enrique oversaw the workout, which included all available first team players plus Barça B's Marlon, Gumbau, and Cámara. Midfielder Sergi Samper was absent with Club permission, as the rest of the squad continued to get ready for Sunday's game against Athletic Club Bilbao.

FC Barcelona and Granada CF have reached an agreement for the loan of the player Sergi Samper for the season 2016/17. The Andalusian club will take over the player’s contractual conditions during the season and are committed to contractually to making sure the player participates actively during his loan period.

FC Barcelona and Sporting Gijón have reached an agreement for the loan of Douglas to the Asturian club for the rest of the 2016/17 season. Sporting have made a contractual agreement that the player will be actively involved in the team during his loan year.

Claudio Bravo has published an open letter of thanks to everyone associated with FC Barcelona on his Twitter and Instagram accounts in which he writes that "I wish to express in these lines what is going through my head now that the time has come to say goodbye to such a grand institution as FC Barcelona, whose colours I have been able to proudly defend for two seasons."
