Fresh off the back of winning Olympic gold with Brazil, Neymar Jr has been called up to the full national team and, with the permission of Luis Enrique, will return to the squad after the international break. Top Leo Messi goals from outside the area | FC Barcelona
Leo Messi has got his season off to a fine start. He’s scored three goals in three official games - a header against Sevilla in the Super Cup and two goals from outside the area in the Liga debut at home to Betis. It’s such long range goals that we’re focusing on here, because it’s something the Argentinian has down to a fine art.

Luis Suárez joins FC Barcelona's free-kick club | FC Barcelona
Luis Suárez’s goalscoring instinct is clearly still intact. He showed that by opening the scoring against Sevilla in the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup, and then scored a hat-trick in Barça’s first Liga fixture of the new season, a 6-2 defeat of Betis. That’s 88 goals that the Uruguayan has now scored for the club. But one thing he had never done at Barça was score from a direct free kick. He has now, and it was a real belter!

Luis Enrique remains in the market for a striker to act as a backup to Luis Suarez and although Valencia have so far publicly rejected any advances, the Catalan club are keen to add the 22-year-old before the transfer window closes.

Barca, Alcacer ‘verbal agreement’ | Football Espana
Mundo Deportivo reports that President Layhoon Chan and sporting director Jesus Garcia Pitarch are blocking Alcacer from Camp Nou even though Barca argue that with Lim in favour of the move and Alcacer wanting to go, it makes little sense to stand in the way.

Cillessen to have medical on Thursday? | Football Espana
Jasper Cillessen could have a medical with Barcelona as early as Thursday and wrap up his move from Ajax before the weekend. Ajax on Wednesday meet FC Rostov in the second-leg of their European tie and Cillessen is in Russia with his teammates despite Barca’s interest and a move to Camp Nou appearing close to completion.

Ajax's Jasper Cillessen can compete for Barcelona No. 1 spot - Ronald de Boer - ESPN FC
Former Ajax and Barcelona midfielder De Boer, now working as assistant manager for the Dutch club's reserve side, told AS: "Cillessen is not a newcomer. He has been playing for some time at the top level and I'm certain he will battle hard with ter Stegen to play."
