Finally, after five games, Bravo managed to celebrate a clean sheet. He came close on numerous occasions in past weeks, but his match was made easier by the good play of his teammates in front of him and Eibar's lack of chance creation. Despite not facing a shot all game long, Bravo was kept busy as he made more passes than Suarez and all but one Eibar player. |

After a couple below-par showings, Alves but in a passable game. It was far from a vintage performance, thought there were a couple poor crosses and he combined well with Messi, but again the Brazilian made too many mistakes in possession, on both ends of the pitch, and a better team than Eibar would've punished Barcelona. |

Defensively Pique had a very good game, commanding his area with an impressive eight clearances, showing he anticipated plays excellently, knowing where the ball would end up to clear it out of danger. Where Pique didn't excel was when he was in possession, making a couple poor choices leading to a few Eibar attacks that otherwise never would've materialized. |

Mascherano's return to better form will be received with smiles from fans and coaches alike, especially because Pique will miss the return leg against Arsenal. There were a couple nervy clearances from the Argentine, but Barcelona weren't hurt by them and otherwise he made a number of strong defensive plays. Picked up a yellow card which will force him to miss Barcelona's next league game against Getafe. |

Similarly to Alves on the opposite side, Alba too looked much better than in recent games. There were still mistakes in his game, especially on the defensive side of the ball, but he also made numerous good plays that stopped Eibar's attacks. Alba showed better play on offense too, with his link-up being much better than recently. The accuracy of his passes into the middle is still missing, but it was an encouraging showing from the speedy left-back |

Another controlling performance from Busquets in the centre of midfield. He linked play well and helped Barça to counterattack, particularly in the first half. He was especially important when Eibar were on top and his two tackles and three interceptions helped to turn the tide in Barça’s favour. Only Javier Mascherano had a better pass success rate and Busquets was granted a rest in the 79th minute. |
Ivan Rakitić |

During this game, Rakitić would regularly push forward in order to link with the front three but because of the high line Eibar were playing, a lot of the balls were over the top and therefore missed Rakitić. His movement forward would also leave some space in behind which he corrected in the first half by sitting deeper. From here, he helped to keep Barça’s game moving with his passes and his two interceptions. |
Arda Turan |

We've yet to see the best from Turan in a Barça shirt, which is to be expected considering his late arrival into the squad, but Enrique elected to field him in this game. Perhaps due to Eibar’s physicality, he wanted the presence of Turan but the player made surprisingly just one tackle. He also struggled to get into a natural rhythm and he completed just 58 passes. He made an accurate cross but overall he was as effective as he would’ve like to been. |

Produced a wonderful pass with zero back-lift that led to the first goal and then ran a cool 40 yards to slot home the second at a time when Barça were under the kosh. Won and converted a penalty to put the game beyond the reach of the Basques and just plain showed up when he was needed once more. I'd kiss him if I could. |

Latched on to a Messi through ball to square beautifully for Munir's opener and was let down when the opportunity presented itself for the favour to be returned. The usual tireless running and physicality was present. In the match review, Sam nailed it in his match review, saying that his goal to crown the victory encompassed the best qualities of the Uruguayan - the skill to nutmeg a defender, the sheer strength to hold off another and the ruthless finishing ability that has seen him top the Pichichi so far this season. |

Munir hasn't had as much of a chance for playing time this season so yesterday was the perfect chance to impress. He got off to a great start slotting home the opener inside the opening ten minutes but the rest of the game seemed to pass him by. Miss-hitting what was an easy layoff for Suarez was a low point but more frustrating was a lack of willingness to run at defenders. On a few occasions he was guilty of playing backwards to Alba where Neymar would have run at defenders to create chances and it stifled Barça's attack down the left hand side. |

On for Arda in the 80th minute so difficult to fully rate. Straight away looked to get forward and played with the usual boundless energy. Managed to claim an assist for Barça's fourth and almost added a fifth himself with a powerful shot from 18 yards. Remains a starter ahead of Arda at present in my opinion. |

So hard to rate with very little to do at the back for the remaining 10 minutes. Nice block from an Eibar cross but that was about as much as was asked of him. |

Scarcely had a competitive kick of a ball lately. Got forward for a Messi cross but Suarez took it off his head. Did his bit tidily without ever being over extended. With Mascherano suspended for the Getafe fixture,he must be foaming at the mouth for a start and some real playing time. |

Another solid days work against a lively opponent. The clear weakness at the back right now is aerial exploitation of Jordi Alba which was abundantly apparent at times. Still, the back four hung in there, took their blows and got another clean sheet. A silly booking for Masche but there are three players dying for game time at centre half right now. In midfield we saw more than we ever do of Sergio Busquets' left foot and it seems he doesn't even have a weak side to complain about. Arda got more minutes and is starting to show more of the energetic approach he had at Atleti that caused us so many problems. Up front, two of the three were as classy as ever and the youngster got a reminder of the level the bar was at. Not vintage but not bloody bad. |
Luis Enrique |

And so the streak continues. Another win and a clean sheet. His team were not always dazzling but Messi's goal close to half time demonstrated the ruthless streak so prevalent in the team right now. A triple substitution gave 2 defenders some much needed minutes as well as allowing for some rotation in midfield. Eibar were spirited but Enrique's charges were simply better. A good days work. |

Hard to dominate a man of the match rating more then Messi did in this case. The Argentine won 95% of all the votes that were cast. Slightly surprisingly, Arda finished the voting in second place with 3% while there was a two-way tie for third, with Suarez and Alves picking up 1%. |
